Analysis of What happened?

Karolina Marszałkowska 1993 (Gdańsk)

What happend to sun
That it's not as bright as before
Where could it run
And moreover what for?

What happened to stars
That it's less of them on the sky
Did they earn new scars
That forbid them to fly?

What happened with flowers
That they're not so eager to grow
How many dry hours
Passed since they were touched with a hoe ?

What happened with rivers
That their flow is slower
Why do water's shiver
And their  coasts are lower?

What happened with people
That they seem so distant
Why are they creeple
And needlessly persistant?

What happened with words
They seem to loose their meaning
One sentence  easily curds
And it needs some cleaning

What happened with us
We use corroded letters
And people just pass
And we are chained by fetters
