Analysis of Vitruvian Man
Vitruvius, the architect, gave measurements for man:
anatomical perfection
gauged by this artisan.
A spread span of the outstretched arms is equal to man's height.
The muscular dimensions
reflect his strength and might.
da Vinci captured the theory in proper proportion,
placing it on painted canvas
omitting distortion.
Encircled like a pentacle, head with four limbs make stars.
Vitruvian Man diagrammed
models through grand devoirs.
Vitruvius, the architect, and da Vinci's fine hand,
formed in relationship cahoots
an artistic command.
