Analysis of The Walk Home

Monday night is sure the clincher
You must know the heart beats true
Emotion pouring like an avalanche
On the street his eyes meet you

A look like that is all it takes
To get you in the bathroom stall
Within just a couple hot minutes
He's pinned you against the wall

And if the husband discovers this
You surely won't escape the blame
But the love at home is so stale, no
It just quite ain't the same

You scream for him to pull your hair
And the waiter walking by peeks in
Says, "Why'd you have to come on family night?
Javier, please queue the violin"

And then when the fun is over
You both clean up and walk out
With a ten year old kid looking up at you
You learn what awkward's all about

The husband has called about eight or nine times
But you ignored him and turned off your phone
It's time to admit, now you feel pretty sick
The longest five blocks to walk home
