Beautiful Stranger

Do you never want to see things through?
See them out to be what they're meant to
With everyday I now feel further and further
Just sitting around here, just waiting for you

And I can't keep going on like this
Praying for a future that I might miss
Sometimes you're just told to go with it
But I don't want to, I want bliss

And oh, I should have seen this
As I wished to touch those tempting lips
Imagine the kiss with a beautiful stranger
I never knew

I showed you your wings and away you flew
And now I just don't know what to do
I froze right here when you left me, you disappeared
And all I've been thinking about is you

No, I can't keep going on like this
Praying for a future that I might miss
Sometimes you're just told to go with it
But I don't want to, I don't want to

And oh, I should have seen this
As I wished to touch those tempting lips
Imagine the kiss with a beautiful stranger
I never knew

That you would slip away from me
Before I got to tell you just how I feel
Just how I feel
I may not know you yet
But I know well enough this pain is real
This pain I feel

And oh, I should have seen this
As I wished to touch those tempting lips
Imagine the kiss with a beautiful stranger
Such a beautiful stranger
I never knew
