Analysis of The spark
a big woman eat an ice cream sundae
the round sore
on the tip of my dog's nose
from trying to flip the kennel's latch
that she might run home
my mother
brave hundreds of thirsty mosquitos
and the sweltering Delta heat
to sit
with a glass of wine
and look at the moon
