Analysis of The Hand Poem
Hands…
My father’s hands are very twisted
They’re strong and built with lots of muscles
They’ve helped me learn
So many things as I have grown
In my life
They have helped me learn
How to ride a bike
They’ve helped me defend myself when needed
And I have come to realize
That without his hands to guide me
Through this world
I would not make it

This was written by my daughter when she was nine.
One of the many reasons it’s great to be a parent :)
