Analysis of So Long My Life

alone at night..
i'd stay up all night just thinking of you
i'm cold as ice..
but the fire inside never stopped burning

sometimes when you look me in the eye i get so nervous
i dont know why you would want me, i serve no purpose
i'm wrong, you're right..it shouldn't have happened in the first place
never again will i let these feelings pour out onto the surface

so long my life, my soul has been burning
i've found a way, another beginning
the pain aching inside never stops hurting
a bid farewell, to forgive my sinning

one time you took my hand and i followed you inside
you walked me down memory lane and made me cry
you made me realize that i had no place to hide
i could of walked towards the light but i was too blind

so long my life, my soul has been yearning
i've found a way, another beginning
an ounce of hope, just to stop the hurting
a bid farewell, to forgive my sinning
