Analysis of Slipping Away
I made a sacrifice today.
I did, and it might have been a big mistake.
But you were too far away.
In my heart, but it feels like you are slipping away.
At first I tried to wait.
I became impatient, so I started to pray.
I became weary, wondering if your love would return this way.
Miles of a difference, so to me you are slipping away.
I never imagined it would be this way.
Im happily in love, but the missing corner of my heart is gray.
If I made you leave, I love you, I also begged you to stay.
I spend my nights waiting by the phone.
No letters, no gifts, and no post-cards.
Slipping away from my grip.
My soul is evaporating, my heart is hanging on a cliff.
You still have my love, while you slowly slip away from it.
