Analysis of Signs Of Life

When did pretense begin, when did truth fade?
Life is not rehearsal nor masquerade.
What have you been dreaming, what is your plan?
Trite routines continue since you began.
Where is it your going, where have you been?
The pathways you travel aimlessly spin.
How are your emotions, how do you feel?
There are no expressions that you reveal.
Who do you rely on, who earns respect?
Solitude seems your way to self protect.
Did you just stop thinking, did your mind close?
Perhaps you feel safer to simply doze.
Why don't you face your fears, why are you snide?
Contempt and ridicule always deride.
Are there some signs of life, are there heart beats?
Pulsations indicate rhythmic repeats.
