Analysis of Save Me A Place In Paradise

hot sunny days at the beach
with the scorching heat
and the ocean breeze

the summer skies
arrive just in time
with just a hint of lemon lime

i took a chance
and the golden sands
slipped in and out of my hands

no rainy days i'll be missing
i'm flying kites off in the distance
while i'm sharing ice-cream with the misses

angel-cakes we'll be eating
no one needs to be speaking
when each of our hearts are beating

the kids are building sand castles
as we watch the speeding boats
and the gentle flight of seagulls

the sway of the pine trees
in downtown miami
is just what i need

what i see, in front of me
is as close to paradise
as i'll ever be
