Analysis of Pendleton roundup

Was the second week in September,
that meant Pendleton if I 'membered right.
It meant ropin' and drinkin' and women,
and trying real hard not to fight.
It meant waking up sore in the morning,
with a saddlebag sized of a head.
And a hoping I"ll get a good scoring,
with no falls, breaks,or ending up dead.
There's some dangers in Rodeo circuits,
but there's glory for those that will try.
It's the stuff that was done by old cowboys,
in the "good ole days" bye and bye.
There's parades and TiPi's and sideshows,
and bar-b-que dinners for some.
And little girls shyly grinning,
and memories of good times,everyone.
