Analysis of Just When I Think You're One Thing

Just when I think you're open you quickly slam the door
And then return to silence under your old hard core

Just when I think you're lovely you make an ugly face
And then return to silence under your old disgrace

Just when I think you're pious you instigate sheer hell
And then return to silence under your old cartel

Just when I think you're friendly you show hostility
And then return to silence under your old decree

Just when I think you're muted you say a word or two
And then return to silence under your old curfew

Just when I think you're kindly you cause a heart to bleed
And then return to silence under your old misdeed

Just when I think you're faithful you suddenly betray
And then return to silence under your old cachet

Just when I think you're one thing you become something odd
And then return to silence under your old facade.
