Analysis of I need clowns

Send in the circus clowns,
Those that make us laugh,
I need the clowns.
To be funny on my behalf.

Tears have followed me every day,
Tears that appear at the strangest times,
Tears that have no rhyme, they have no reason,
Falling like dew drops, whatever the season.

Sadness is a strange happening,
That takes over your soul,
It creeps around your heart,
And writes it's own performing roll.

So bring in the clowns,
Happy clowns, with wide grins,
Forcing the misery from my being,
And make my life whole again.
