Analysis of heartfart

It started with the first IM
The first jab at us
The first try at you
The first try at us
I didn't imagine it'll all go so far
Though it did, yes, it did
I should have known from the start
You had your baggage to bear
But I was willing to bear it with you
Though, you never let me
You never let me carry it with you
Why haven't you?
And then I opened up to you
Let all of my fears out to you
Told everything about me that I knew
Even what I didn't know yet
Wasn't it all enough?
For just a bit of your trust?
Then you made me fall hard, head over heels
Maybe I wasn't even in love, but it felt like love
And then poof! You go, you're gone
You disappear
Like you did before
I got used to it
I must admit I got used to you
Your ways of leading me on
Simply to leave me at the alter
The alter of getting to know you
Finally letting me in you
You never accepted that maybe..
I could have been the one you needed
Though there's no holding back now
I am truly letting go now
And even though I keep saying it over and over
I think it's over now
It hurts to let you go now
And there's no coming back
