Analysis of Gloss And Dross

Shiny shoes and dirty pants;
while clean appeals, filth disenchants.
Words of kindness, thoughts obscene,
though sounding nice they're truly mean.
Rotting teeth veneered white;
a glittering to gnaw and bite.
Offered hand with germs galore;
a friendly gesture to ignore.
Sweet caress, falsely embraced,
the implied care is just two faced.
Outward smiles, yet raving rants;
selected stands by sycophants.
Warm hugs and betrayal kiss;
this affection is a mere hiss.
Compliance first, next to rout;
cooperation then is out.
Orbit spin now losing grips;
stars falling from their ego trips.
Bright sparkle, a cover gloss;
polished surfaces become dross.
