Analysis of Gladly Seen, Has it Been?
We can't keep reaching for the sun.
Even skyscrapers high up in the air
are no more than a sign we all run
to an end. And if we don't care
for anything but harsh money making -
keep climbing no matter what cost -
one day our hearts will start aching
and pleasure in small things is lost.
Birth! Graduation! Rings! All of that
packaged in fake, costly celebrations.
Expecting the most, we can't be glad
with just the warmth of true relations.
