Analysis of Getting Over (resilience)

The desolated rooms
Or the moments of gloom
Reminds me of my fate
When I couldn't cogitate
About a crack in my wall
Where the bolt would fall
And break it into shards
Except the extant parts
That gives pride in my work
They lie beneath the murk
And obscured to others
Who deem me a failure

I can't rub off the smudge
And dejectedly trudge
In the dim light of the dusk
And hide beneath the husk
When I am afraid of the sun
And defeated in the run
When I was trying to scud
But now I am sticking in the mud
Where nothing seems just
Even the familiar rail track is covered with rust

The night's fallen but I will trudge
Across the rail to witness the drudge
In a person repairing the truck
Or a salary man coming after the work
Or the workers fixing the rail
Or the nerds growing stale
Without a trait that I could relate
And accept it as a cruel fate
When I have the aid of the days
And a gaze to search a place
With strength enough to reign
And a gratifying meat to gain
That belittles the loss I bear
As I feel the warmth in the air
The strength in my feet returns
And I walk across this rail until the morning sun
