Analysis of Butterfly
The heart remains a child forever,
wandering between spaces
our words form for beauty,
dreams are wondrous shadows
that follow steps we place
along paths chosen in love,
in haste, in sorrow's smiles.
Imagination's sand falls through eyes
as strangers search to find us;
the travellers of thought.
These stories are full of time,
written and stored for all to view,
soulful poetry to please, to disturb,
and for you; the butterfly
who danced into my world.
Your words I long for,
the passions held in visions,
treasures to be held in the heart
for eternity's golden eyes,
tell me your fire and I shall burn with you.
Regret is just a shiver in the wind,
passing through the night like a shooting star,
look back and feel all that you are.
The last journey smiles, waiting,
stealing itself ever closer,
I will welcome the moment as it arrives
and savour the taste of a thousand more.
I dream of love and life's pains,
walk the earth with memories dark,
seek the truth of passing eyes,
hang my tears in frozen days,
my stories are yours,
please come to collect them
and I'll give them with sighs.
