Analysis of Before You
The love I knew before I knew
the love I found with you
is lost in space without a trace
and has no face or clue.
The jewel I knew before I knew
the jewel I found with you
is faded jade without a grade
and has no shade or hue.
The joy I knew before I knew
the joy I found with you
is splinter board without reward
and has no lord or crew.
The peace I knew before I knew
the peace I found with you
is battle-ax without a max.
and has no lacks or lieu.
The trust I knew before I knew
the trust I found with you
is held at bay without a say
and has no way or cue.
