Analysis of Afraid
Afraid to go to sleep at night.
Afraid of the demons I keep out of sight.
Afraid of letting them take control.
Afraid of falling back into that hole.
Afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing.
Afraid of being a puppet controlled by a string.
Afraid of becoming what I don't want to be.
Afraid of others and what they'll think of me.
Afraid of letting a loved one down.
Afraid that this fear will leave a permanent frown.
Afraid of facing my tortured past.
Afraid of being considered last.
Afraid of making someone feel low.
Afraid of the feeling of letting go.
Just afraid.
