Analysis of A Yellow Dog in Vauxhall Tube
Yes, I do dream of fields and chases
The noise of trains and you people staring
Don’t bother me.
No, I’m not cold –
you must have noticed
how they cover me with this tartan blanket.
And I don’t mind being squashed a bit,
Snuggling close to Nigel’s warmth and smell.
Doing the job together – him and I.
You see, after I’d betrayed Jesus
I was forgiven.
God ordered my soul
to keep coming back as a dog,
So I’m forever allowed
To be a Friend
