Analysis of A Green Eyed Monster
Trouble comes and you can't hide,
for smiles shroud this spiteful thing.
And it numbs your heart inside,
where fear waits on fetid wing.
When shame shadows injured pride,
a broken heart no longer sings.
And allowing hate to guide,
its jaded feelings pull your strings.
Stalking love with traps and lies,
jealousy waits, then it springs.
Abusing trust till it dies,
you wince from the pain it brings.
Hurling hurts that egos fling,
there is nothing it won't say.
For digging up dirt to sling,
it wallows in its decay.
A green eyed monster's death cling,
sentences love to its demise.
And with its venomous sting,
it brings tears to innocent eyes.
