Forgive And Forget

Hope enables a broken heart
to proceed despite the thorns.
And yet there comes a time you
must grab the bull by the horns.

When the smiles have faded away,
and the tears begin to fall.
That's the time to raise your chin,
stop your crying and stand up tall.

You need to move on with life,
and tend to your lonely heart.
The sun hasn't abandoned you,
and the clouds will soon depart.

Your relationship didn't last,
cause it was never meant to be.
And while you may think life's over,
there is so much more to see.

Yesterday's just memories,
yet today's a brand new day.
Learn to forgive and forget,
don't let pride get in your way.
