Analysis of They were not real

Arpan Dey 2004 (West Bengal)

All my insecurities, all my fears,
Erupting out like lava from a volcano
In those horrible nightmares.
Oh, they were not real, no.

Sweating and screaming in my sleep.
Oh, they seemed so real and slow.
They shook me deep down, very deep
Oh, they were not real, no.

How thankful was I when I woke up,
The horrors of the night fading away
The sun rays hitting my eyes sharp.
Oh, they were not real, no way.
