Analysis of Ego

Brenda De Jesus 1970 (Brooklyn)

I read once that it’s my ego
Hurts when you reject me...
That I have something to prove
That I’m worthy of your love
But I fight not because it’s my ego
Or to prove my worth!
I fight because my heart beats your name
And my soul emits your warmth
Because without you I felt alone
Because with you I feel whole
You are and will always be my endless love
