Acceptance

Brenda De Jesus 1970 (Brooklyn)

I lie to myself everyday believing
 that I don’t love you!

I try so hard to think of other things
Yet something reminds me of you!

This feeling overwhelms’s me with excitement
As if your coming to me with open arms
And giving me the same love and passion
I feel for you!

And in the end..... I’m just your friend, your sis
Nothing less yet nothing more
