Analysis of On the Mount

In the stillness of His presence--
angels worship, elders praise, adore.
What is man, that he be loved,
and the son of man, that he be cherished?
Dust he cannot be, for dust in graves remains,
but the living Spirit feeds him day by day,
with the Word of God, known by lowly heart,
man ascends to heights,
where, with Moses and Elijah, Jesus talked.
Simple men-- amazed, bewildered,
witnessing the glory of the Lord.

Transformed by the revelation of the Mount,
man is ready to receive Christ's mind.
