Analysis of Shipwreck

To describe this
Would be too simple of a thing
Why I stare at the sealing to stop the tears from falling
Tears that have no right to be there
The pain and pills messed with my head
The walls of my vindictive depression
are closing in on me and I can't seem to stop them
My heart is like a ship
Floating on the outskirts of isolation
In a heavy storm of amnesia and sadness
Just before the boat flips over and sinks
My heart sinks
and then I am once again drowning
In what looks like an ocean of my own tears
The feeling of happiness feels like a prize
One I don't deserve enough to obtain
The will to explain this to others evades me
For who would understand
A shipwreck happening within my tiny, short, fat, ugly body
As they described me to be
How could they understand
When they are too busy taunting me
for fear I couldn't fight off
For memories I can't erase
My ship is falling futher
And there just on the edge of my eyes
Its sinking completely out of sight.

About this poem

I wanted to describe the feeling of depression. The feeling of loosing control over my own emotions. Hence I decided to write a poem to try to convey my feelings the only way I know how.
