Analysis of Innocence
What would happen if you were a child? With two parents who never smiled. Never a kind word was said. And no knowledge of love was placed in your head.
How would she know how to act proper? If no one were to ever adopt her. Left without love from the start. Nothing but anger in her heart. For feeling unwanted hurts so bad. Can you blame her for being mad?
If he decided to injure another, because he saw his dad beat his mother. And in the process he was damaged, left without food feeling famished. Because his mom was too sad to cook, and his father was nothing but a small time crook. Can the man truly be blamed, if this is the world from whence he came?
Just a child learning wrong, stuck in a game of mental ping pong. Leaving behind all that they dreamed, to try to forget the tears that they streamed. Covering up all that hurt, so they can forget that they feel like dirt. So they learn not to care, about anyone else’s thoughts or despair.
People may do terrible things. And many are troubled by the pain that it brings. I do not say it does not matter, but sometimes it’s important to understand the pattern. For we get lost in what may pass, and start to look negatively at the mass. And start to think humans are rotten, when there are reasons that have been forgotten.
We are all innocent children, programmed by the world that we live in. So if you have any misgivings, just understand you are blessed for the life you are living. For you were not placed in one of those peoples lives, and inside you love was given a chance to thrive. So make up for those who have been lead off course and cause so much trouble without remorse. Not by feeling fear or hate, but by doubling your love and being brave. That is the only way we overcome it. If the good come together to lift us above it.
