Analysis of Hidden

Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)

I know you can’t see me
looking up at you
nestled in sidewalks crack

Taste of mud
soggy leaf stains
worn and torn rubber

I’m here!
I’m here!

Too faint to hear
over scoffing
and mockery
here comes industrious ant

Who’s tasks more productive
then what I try to show for
his creations marveled by human kind

Yet my means hidden
invisible you might say
am I real yet?

Here I am
snug in sidewalks crack
wake me up
when I am worthy

Sarah Brower

I love to express myself through poetry. I can’t force inspiration so I only write when I feel moved. Authenticity is important to me!! If I can make anyone feel heard and understood, Then my goal is accomplished. more…
