Analysis of Down
Peewee Cuson 1983 (Indiana)
From headstone of a tombstone
lies a man without a name
Bound and gagged into earthen home
burying away dark shame
Floodwater washes sanity to ocean
evil tide pulling me away
Moons gone; hand of fate in motion
burned by the flame
Drag river's deep a few times
rise within twisted shallows
murky mind seeping like slime
hold breath; down we go
