Analysis of Well, Wassup?
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
I use to be one who would say,
'Well, wassup?'
And to ask each day.
'Well, wassup?'
To hear without delay, 'Nothing's up!'
As if what's said makes it okay to say it!
Today people are made to look down.
On themselves.
Before it done to others.
Hoping this blinded state of consciousness,
Returns overnight...
Insight and awakened enlightenment.
What has happened to the people.
Waiting to complain.
About everything they can.
What has happened to their minds.
Searching to find,
Accusations to create a placing...
Of a blame by name to claim on anyone.
Time after wasted time.
Without guilt or remorse.
But still will beat a dead horse.
Until that dead horse pledges,
A kept devotion...
To a steadfast and unwavering ignorance!
And...
That's wassup.
To continue uninterrupted!
