Analysis of Did I say?

We were relaxed
The first glasses of Rose D’anjou half empty
She asked many questions of me
In perfect french

Mama Deux did a good job translating
She hung on her seat
“What is he saying!”

And so it went
I seemed to answer all the questions
I was eager to share, myself
In clumsy french
And english

And so it was…..
So natural, real, innocent, pure
But I wanted her to know
Whatever she wanted

Two children, 19 and 30
I met her daughter the day before

She was eager yet hesitant

Then I twirled her
Like a bride at a wedding
We had fun

I blacked out for a second

I think of him, though we never met
I tell him, only if he accepts me
I know he wished to still be there
I know he would want her to be happy

How can I love so deep?
After three days
And 3 lifetimes of errors
We prayed before I left
