Analysis of Received And Directly Given
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Attention received and given to a menace,
Repeatedly achieved.
With a claim of declaring,
The activities of that menace...
Seems more menacing as if,
In need of more attention to get and does...
Repeatedly achieved and will not leave!
When will it begin to dawn on anyone.
That what has begun to irritate others,
Has for some...
Become an expectation for them to have fun.
Is not going to stop anytime soon.
If attention given to a menace isn't finished.
With what is wanted to end.
Making this meant to prioritize and quick!
As if a switch turned off,
From a patience assumed...
Tolerated to prolong to go on and on.
Electrifies a mind stunned.
With a swift doing that numbs.
Leaving one or more feasting to inflict evil.
Too afraid to make another move.
Threatened by a fear.
Of not knowing what to expect next!
Or...
How close and near,
A retaliation appears to serve up...
The deserving of punishment directly felt.
'Forgive me.
I apologize.'
'Apologize?
For what?
Shouldn't I be the one to do that done.
Since...
I have not begun to start,
Delivering the taste of your favorite flavor!
And it may not be,
As delicious as yours had been meant for me.'
'This insanity.
I don't understand.'
'Neither did I.
Until the message and lessons learned.
I began to comprehend.
The teachings.
Accompanied with...let's say,
Your moves to me made to make repeatedly.
Kept it worth while,
To keep a smile on my face.'
'But...
That to reminisce is some sick stuff.'
'No.
I still believe.
You had been for me a tremendous teacher!'
'I can't take all of the credit.
I was not the only one.'
'I know.
But the flattery I give is all yours to keep!'
