Mending To Heal

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Mending to heal...
From an aching pain created,
By an atmosphere sickened...
With people feeding on negativity.
And social illiteracy.
Will take the facing to chase away, Ignorance.
All of it.
For what it is.
To know,
The avoiding of any problem to fix it quick.
Doesn't get fix quick.
Then pretend a suffering to feel it,
Does not exist.

Denial is overdue for its own holiday.

'What?'

I'm having a personal reasoning 'convo'.
Okay?
Do you mind?
I digress. It happens.

Well...
Where was I?
Oh yes.
Folks waste a lot of time,
Analyzing what they should do.
And which too late direction to take.
To wonder why,
They are looking at the back of a train.
Speeding away from them.
Only to awaken to realize,
What is seen, shown and known...
To be habitually self inflicted,
Will seldom be thought...
A priority of someone else to believe,
Their responsibility...
To bring that to the attention,
Of the one causing their own grief.
