Analysis of Alone

Under a stormy sky I am alone
The darkened life of horrors
Torments and tragedies
Pours its misery upon me
The relentless downward spiral
Guilt, futility, humiliation
Feels ominous
A black hole
Where light and joy
Disappears.

The life I leave behind is gone
I am an orphan now
Standing in between
Yesterday’s pain
And today’s lingering bruises
How does this seem right?
Breathing still happens
Heart keeps beating
And though I’m surrounded
I do feel so all alone.

The gravity of pain is silence
So heavy it’s weight
Falls on the voice in agony
So severe everyone
Ignores the cries
Because tears
Flow to the lowest point
So I drown in
The pity you caused
Where once were two
Now lies me all alone.
