Analysis of The Blood That Moves My Body

Charles Edward York 1966 (Saigon, Vietnam)

The Blood That Moves My Body

You are the blood that moves my body
Giving me fuel to fire my flame.

Every thought of you in my loving arms
Burns inside the beauty of your name.

In me you are repeated all day long
As constant as a star in darkest space.

You are beautifully perfect I must say
The epitome of alluring feminine grace.

You touch me deeply in smooth affection
And with words you open my heart.

There is no one else for me than you
You have made my life a work of art.

You give me hope for a better future
And a reason to triumph over strife.

You’re the woman and my lovely lady
The one I love and my forever wife.
