Analysis of THE PRICE IS HIGH BUT THE END IS NEAR

We see blood on the cheeks of those
who have buried their loved ones
who have died in the struggle
and we share their grief
and we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

We see of this moment
justice still crumbling
and hopes still reigning high and supreme
on the throne of our soil
and we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

We hear the voice of the beast
as it overwhelms us
as it tries to hasten us
intimidates us in same deceit
we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

but we will have to pay
and its costly
though the struggle seems hard and long
and the road rough and  difficult
yet we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

Do not despair
do not look around
do not betray our faces
and do not betray that trust
as we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

solidarity in believe
yet slogan battling amidst blood
the youths and the sacrifice
on same soil in october a stigma
but we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."

we will see that we will rise up
out of the ashes of freedom
the tears of mourning at lekki
will salvage the truth and innocence in our hopes

for we know that...

"the price is high but the end is near..."
