Analysis of Anointing in song and agreement
Something happened on that floor.
Basketball gym converted
For another night.
People from many churches
Beat and expectation.
Yearning to sing.
Oh, but I’m not a Singer.
Yeah, so what, Girl?
Let it out.
In this place we get it.
Agree with it.
Give copious thanks.
The plan for release
Of discontent, guilt.
Replaced by gratitude.
Stomping feet and
Let’s stop the chat now.
Just sing, OK.

About this poem
Been in many worship halls. Enthusiastic. Thankful. And sometimes there is a shifting of gears. Praise does this. Consider Psalm 63.
