Analysis of CONTINUE

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I have been beaten and broken yet I continued to fight through their hell and my own while the truth was half-spoken. I made my stand now I found my ground. I faced it head I took those pieces they left me now I am building my castle as they try to knock at my gates my mind is strong so they can fuck themselves with their hate because I sleep with the love of those who rule up above.

Continue walking a road that was carved in stone even if I must walk it alone at least I know from their shackles I am at least free. I am spreading my wings as I learn to fly in the skies that hold another type of light.

No longer do I hang down my head, no longer do I play dead? I still have a pulse I am still breathing, I might have those days where I struggle and tears may fall from my bloodshot eyes but then I hear that voice that shakes my soul saying continue to fight
