Analysis of Your Attention
Michael Ullom 2004 (Fayetteville)
Your attention stays within me-
For many days after we've met;
It blankets me during the cold,
It comforts me when I'm upset.
But it never lasts long enough;
It's a fleeting reminder that-
Your attention may not come back,
She may vanish and she may crack.
So, do I still want to see you,
Or the person I've created?
Because what I see is not true,
Just an image I have painted.
