Analysis of The little bird and I

I close my eyes and listen
There's a solitary melody I hear
This little guy is keeping me company
as we're the only two awake right now, my dear..

It's a new day and we have work to do.
He is singing his song for his love
and I am busy writing this poem for you.

You're asleep like the rest of the world.
I imagine you're dreaming right now
while I'm here picturing your face
so beautiful, so radiant, so amazingly wow!

The number of melodies is increasing
as the sun shows his first ray.
So, as I finish this poem
I want to wish you a magnificent day.
