Analysis of I'll pretend

bury the dead in the cool grounds
that dared to run across your minefields
claiming to be your friend,
hypocritical lives,
resisting the moment
when today touches tomorrow
but I can’t find you there...

I feel estranged
but for now, I’ll pretend; I'll be a hypocrite,
that we're friends....
a man with empty yesterday's
waiting for a new one today...
but I can’t start from the bottom ....

a glimpse of light emits speckles of notions
navigating to you
announcing a confession
that I can not see you as a friend
but for now, I’ll pretend to be your friend
I'll pretend somehow.....
