Analysis of A Better Innovator

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

I am not the one,
Who seeks approval and acceptance.
Nor do I wish,
Recognition for my assistance...
Freely given to you or anyone else.

There is nothing I do to choose,
To premeditated a competing...
In a hopeful competition.
To be judge by critics.
Deciding if my contributions,
I willfully volunteer.
With an introducing of comparisons.

That's your thing.
Not mine to know what I do is a choice.
Used to solicit other voices somewhere.
Could be a much better innovator.
After,
And not before...
Their plagiarism is recognized.

And me?
I don't have those concerns.
That will allow me to be deceiving.

Receive or leave what I do to offer behind.
Still I will remain to thank God,
I am blessed to live not to be so petty!
With a doing what I do,
Not to prove to anyone it can be done.

'Tell me...
Where is it that you do,
Began to start to come from?'

'I can only guess,
My parents had something to do with it.
And...
Since I wasn't there,
Your guess is as good as mine.'
