Analysis of Dead in the Eyes of God
Happened long time ago when i lost my way
My soul became lost but never my heart
Though damned i may be, my soul remains free
I've been told im dead in the eyes of god
When the preacher man said in his eyes I’m dead
I would have read but I always forgot
These smiling eyes they soon realized
There's no compromising in the eyes of God
I cursed and I cussed I looked and I touched
I sinned way too much in this life I got
I didn't go to no Sunday show
And now I’m dead in the eyes of God
