Analysis of This lonely house
GIDRAF MWANGI 1992 (Murang'a)
The empty rooms are my empty heart
Cold and draughty with loneliness
The shattered window shutters
Are the shattered pieces of my heart
The broken door hinges are my dreams
The ones that always remain in my sleep
The leaning roof with holes
Mirrors my heavily battered soul
The creaking staircases and landings
Are the bruises and aches of my spirit
This lonely house I live in
Is the loneliness I live
