Analysis of Oh, how I wish it would rain!

Oh, how I wish it would rain!
announced by thunderous applause
raindrops formed in wombs of clouds
mighty as a touch from the Gods
enshrouds the earth
birthed from the sky
settling dust and forming rust
slow or fast, plants lust
for the wet
from every droplet

Oh, how I wish it would rain!
feeding oceans, valleys, plains
catalyst to new life
pitter patters
soft as silk, sharp as knifes
craved and desired
wanted and needed
quenching fires
and gardens newly seeded

Yes, I wish it would rain
beating on windowsills
overflowing buckets filled
loud or just a whisper
making dark, cold night air crisper
turning parched into plump
righting flowers which lazily slump
forming puddles to avoid or jump
windshield wipers steadily swish
a friend to grow and flourish
washing away all the pain
Oh, how I wish it would rain!
