Analysis of Fear

A shadow of my past haunts me
as I walk through new paths in life
The feeling of always looking behind me
and there's nothing there to find
I grasp with the reality, that this ghostly shadow
will haunt and take if I let it
The struggle is real as it taps on my shoulder everyday
and holds my life with its death-grip!
I fight this strangle-hold with the words I write
as the shadow can't win a battle from my strength.
I fight the dark with light
I fight the past with future
I fight the present by sharing the truth
about fear and its journey...
