Analysis of Being Human
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Am I to be,
Painless.
Am I to be,
Anguish free.
Without sorrow to feel.
Am I to be,
A game played.
As if a novelty.
Like a toy to destroy.
For another behind to leave.
I am me.
Blessed with life.
Done to experience air to breathe.
And adventure to explore,
This for me is my reality.
Although...
The more of my life to explore.
I have doubts to suspect.
Others I see,
To observe and witness.
Mistreating many disrespectfully.
Are painless.
Anguish free.
Without sorrow to feel internally.
This...
Could not be the human beings to know,
What being human is.
To show or make known they do.
Even if to pretend it.
Or at least disguise,
An attempt to do it done!
