Analysis of I WILL SPEAK THE TRUTH

TANUJA THAKUR 1967 (Haldwani)

I will speak the truth...
I will speak the truth,
Raw and unfiltered.
Not a heady cocktail,
but just plain water, clear and crystal.
It will not be a candy dipped in sugar syrup,
Nor a curry tempered with salt and spice.
It will be stark, either black or white,
and no shades in between.
I will do a jig if the truth creates a flutter,
and rejoice if it silences the noise.
And yes the truth will not be a shout,
the words will count, the tone measured.
The truth will be audaciously simple,
will look straight into the eyes and smile.
This is it,
and that's it!
Because a truth is a truth,
Not your's or mine.
